Episode 13 – Scott Payne / Raleigh Parks & Rec interview
On Episode 13, Sandy and Pat recap week 1 of Pop Up Cross Country at Dix Park, and then interview Scott Payne, who is the Assistant Director of the Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department. They discuss the championship-style “Course of Payne” for Week 2 of #PopUpXC, and the future of Cross Country at Dix Park.

Episode 9 – Steph Garcia interview
On Episode 9, Pat interviews Furman Elite and New Balance athlete (and 2015 Sir Walter Miler Champ), Steph Garcia, about her rise from walk on to scholarship athlete at the University of Virginia; about racing, and staying focused, in Europe; as well as fighting through adversity and bouncing back with several PB’s after the dissapointment of not making the 2017 World team. We also discuss early morning knocks on the door from USADA, and brunch.
Episode 8 – Ray Flynn interview
In Episode 8, Sandy and Pat interview the Ari Gold of Track & Field; Ray Flynn. Well… maybe not that, but one of the pre-eminent athletics agents, and the Irish Mile Recold Holder (3:49.77). Ray shares stories of his record run at the Dream Mile in Oslo, his thoughts about running professionally, what the best contract he tries to negotiate is, as well as the emergence of the East Coast mile series, and specifically, the Sir Walter Miler.
