On the final episode of the 2017 Sir Walter Miler season, Sandy and Pat take a look back at the weekend, and run through some of the highlights, as well as thank the Sir Walter Running team, and all the sponsors that helped make SWMIV a reality. They also interview first time sub 4:00 milers, Drew Piazza and Andrew Dusing, about their experience of joining that special list of Americans to accomplish the feat!

Episode 9 – Steph Garcia interview

On Episode 9, Pat interviews Furman Elite and New Balance athlete (and 2015 Sir Walter Miler Champ), Steph Garcia, about her rise from walk on to scholarship athlete at the University of Virginia; about racing, and staying focused, in Europe; as well as fighting through adversity and bouncing back with several PB’s after the dissapointment of not making the 2017 World team. We also discuss early morning knocks on the door from USADA, and brunch.

Episode 8 – Ray Flynn interview

In Episode 8, Sandy and Pat interview the Ari Gold of Track & Field; Ray Flynn. Well… maybe not that, but one of the pre-eminent athletics agents, and the Irish Mile Recold Holder (3:49.77). Ray shares stories of his record run at the Dream Mile in Oslo, his thoughts about running professionally, what the best contract he tries to negotiate is, as well as the emergence of the East Coast mile series, and specifically, the Sir Walter Miler.

Episode 5 – Victor Lytvinenko (Raleigh Denim) & Chris Chavez (Citius) interviews

Episode 5 is the #BlueJeansMile episode! Sandy interviews Victor Lytvinenko of Raleigh Denim to discuss the startup of the iconic Raleigh brand, as well as their involvement with the Citius Mag presents the Raleigh Denim Mile. After that, Pat interviews Chris Chavez of Citus Mag and Sports Illustrated about the rise of the Blue Jeans Mile, his experience at the 2015 Sir Walter Miler, and what he’s looking forward to this year.

Episode 3 – Megan Moye interview

On Episode 3, Sandy Roberts sits down with recent NC State graduate, Megan Moye. An ACC 1500m Champion and multiple time All-American, Megan is excited to take a shot at the sub 4:30 barrier at the 2017 Sir Walter Miler; and she breaks the news about where she will be running professionally, and what club and shoe company she’ll be representing on the starting line August 4th!
